    Art History Assessment

    Salvador Dali was a famous painter. He was born in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain. In the

    1920's, he went to Paris and began interacting with artists such as Picasso, Magritte and Mro,

    which led to Dali's first surrealist phase. He is perhaps best known for his 1931 painting, The

    Resistance of Memory, showing melting clocks in a landscape setting. Also his other great

    paintings such as the Rose of Meditative in 1958.

    My artwork was inspired by Salvador Dali. This artwork is similar to his artwork because

    it has the same subject matter which is the big rose on the middle of the paper. However, my

    artwork is different to Salvador Dali's because I used different media which was oil pastel. And

    the outside influence is different to his artwork.

    In my opinion Salvador Dali would have liked my artwork because it was inspired by

    him. Also, because I did my best and I think it looked good. Furthermore, he would if liked it

    because I changed the style and the outside influence
