1 An experiment is carried out to determine the energy value in three types of


food. Different food have different amount of energy value. When the food is
burning, heat energy is released. Diagram 1 shows the apparatus setup to
determine the energy value in three types of food.
Satu eksperimen telah dijalankan untuk mengenal pasti nilai tenaga dalam
tiga jenis makanan. Makanan yang berbeza mengandungi jumlah tenaga
yang berbeza. Apabila makanan terbakar, tenaga haba dibebaskan. Rajah 1
menunjukkan susunan radas untuk mengenal pasti nilai tenaga dalam tiga
jenis makanan.

The following steps were carried out :


Langkah-langkah berikut telah dijalankan :
1. 20 ml of distilled water is filled in a boiling tube / 20 ml air suling
dimasukkan ke dalam satu tabung didih.
2. The intial temperature of the water is recorded / Suhu awal air itu
direkod.
3. A cashew nut is weighted and its mass is recorded / Sebiji kacang
gajus di timbang dan jisimnya direkodkan.
4. The cashew nut is burnt completely under the boiling tube / Kacang
gajus itu di bakar dengan lengkap di bawah tabung didih.
5. The final temperature of teh water is recorded / Suhu akhir air itu
direkodkan.
6. Steps 1-5 are repeated by using dried bread and dried fish / Langkah
1 hingga 5 diulangi dengan menggunakan roti kering dan ikan kering

2. Human activities, industry and agriculture had caused the water pollution in the
country. Water pollution in different areas such as river, pond, sea or domestic urban
areas could change according to the amount of toxic substances that had been

flowed to it.
Based on the above statement, plan an experiment to determine the level of water
pollution from different areas water sample. Your planning should include :

Aktiviti manusia, perindustrian dan pertanian telah menyumbang kepada


pencemaran air yang berlaku di dalam negara kita. Pencemaran air bagi kawasan-
kawasan berbeza seperti sungai, tasik, laut dan saluran pengaliran domestik seperti
parit/longkang boleh berubah mengikut tahap bahan pencemar yang dialirkan ke
dalamnya.
Dengan merujuk kepada pernyataan di atas, rancang satu eksperimen bagi
menentukan tahap pencemaran air bagi beberapa sampel air dari kawasan yang
berbeza. Perancangan anda haruslah mengandungi :
