PUPPET ENTERPRISE

Puppet Enterprise is an IT automation tool that lets system administrator to manage the
configuration of servers, network devices and storage, in a data center or in the cloud.

The benefits of Puppet Enterprise are.

Using Puppet Enterprise, we can install/uninstall/update packages, kernel

updates, start/stop services, browse and compare system resources of all
servers, add/remove users etc.. using puppet server.

we can configure and manage web servers, database servers, nagios etc... using
master puppet server.

Servers can be grouped based on its application, OS distributions, kernel

version, IP range etc.. These grouping can be easier for us to manage the
infrastructure more efficiently.

Puppet collects all the information about all the servers. we can view those
inventory list in puppet's web console.
