BLACKSBURG, VA, February 21, 2016 Each semester, the Career and Professional Development Department of the Division of Student Affairs
hosts several job fairs in order for students to begin networking and assist them in their job search.
This spring, the Connection Job Fair hosted 127 employers located all over the country in Squires Commonwealth Ballroom. The Connection Job fair
is open to all majors, undergraduate and graduate students and is part of the developmental program within the department that assists students with
the job hunting process. Students are required to bring a cover letter and resume and dress business casual.
Upon arrival student will check in at the booths provided, be issued a name tag and begin walking around the venue to talk with companies that have
rented space with the university. Some employers will conduct next-day interviews on campus. If they invite the students to the interview they will
find out the evening of the job fair and be required to show up the next day if they accept the offer.
The next Connection Job Fair hosted by the Division of Student Affairs will take place in fall of 2017.
