Day 1: EZ Analyze
Use the data provided to answer the following questions. Use your EZ Analyze manual as a
reference if you would like.
1. Input the data into an Excel spreadsheet with corresponding variable names (lots of
options for variable names, just be sure that they are logical).

2) OurTown High Schoo! is offering blocks of electives. In an effort to understand what students prefer
for electives, we conducted a brief survey. This survey asked a series of questions in a scale format
ranging from not interested at all to very interested. 12 students completed the elective interest survey.
Out of the 12 students, 6 students identified as Freshman (50%), 3 students were Sophomores (25%), 2
students were Juniors (172), and lastly 1 Senior completed the survey (8%). The-gender-frequency-was
pretty-fouel. 7 students identified as male (58%) and 5 students identified as female (42%). There were
many options for students to choose what ethnicity they identified with. The ethnic group represented
the most were 4 White students (33%), the second highest ethnic group represented was split between
3 ethnicities; 2 Latino/Hispanic, 2 Asian-American, 2 Multi-Ethnic (17%). The lowest ethnic group
represented were 1 African American students and 1 Native-American student (8%). h oF
