To Whom it May Concern:
This letter is to recommend Mauricio Arizpe to you for employment or in a graduate
studies capacity. I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Arizpe in two classes: English
111 for Engineering Cohorts, and English 218: Technical and Scientific Communication.
Mauricio is a dedicated team player. During the Fall Semester 2016, my ENGL111 class was
required to do problem-based research on Traffic issues at NMSU. Not only did Mauricio
firmly establish his own research, utilizing credible sources and identifying relevant traffic
patterns at NMSU in need of redesign, he also generously offered to help the class make
their term project, a group website, more cohesive.
The class successfully presented their individual and collective research at a rhetoric and
composition symposium at the end of the semester titled: “Living Research at NMSU.” The
presentations were professional and made cohesive, in large part, through Mauricio's
contributions, including standardized introductions, cohesive font styles for each page, and
correct citations and references throughout. He emerged as one of the class leaders at this
symposium.
Mauricio’s dedication, and long hours of design consultation with peers on the class
website, showed his skill, his generous temperament, and his commitment to fellow
researchers,
Mauricio Arizpe has earned my admiration and my highest recommendation. His work
ethic is superior, and his quiet determination and commitment to excellence will help him
meet future academic and work-related challenges, including collaborative projects
requiring thoughtful attention to detail
