Summary

From this interview I was able to collect information about my project like the amount of times a
child need s an ear infections between tubes
That is 5-6 with in a year, or 3 back-to-back with failed antibiotics or hearing loss
I also was able to figure out the medicine types which are
Amoxicillin, Augmentin (amoxicillin& clavulanic), Azithromycin, cefdinir, Bactrim
I also learned that theres a lot of factors that make the temperature to be brought in at change
those factors are Changes with the season, age and symptoms play a factor, if flu season some
first day of symptoms, if viral wait 3-4 days and it should pass
Although your interview was short because she was doing it in between seeing patients my
mentor really explain what an URI was and how common it is, this isnt my project topic but its
a common illness that comes with ear infections sometimes as well as the common cold
My Mentor also explained how owning your own practice is her dream and how that would be a
lot of work but something she would really want to do
She also explained the hard work residency takes, with the long yours, not working in a specific
field of choice, and having to be on your feet the whole time
She also explained that retune is a big part of her day her morning her day start with
pray/thoughts to get the day started, good mornings/interaction with staff, getting computer
ready, answer emails and messages, see patients, answer phone calls, checking on labs, charts
