Once upon a time, there lived a young mouse and his mother.
They lived in a hole in a big field. The mouse had never visited the outside
world. One day, he asked his mothers permission to explore the world
outside. The mouses mother packed some food for him and wished him a
safe journey.
After a few days, the mouse returned to the hole. He had a lot

of news to tell his mother. He told her about two interesting animals he had
met. First, he saw an animal with black and white fur. It had small ears,
whiskers and a long tail. The animal was friendly because it smiled a lot.
After that, the mouse told his mother about the other animal.
This animal looked dirty and made loud noises. He was very afraid. He
thought that the animal would hurt him. He ran quickly and came home.
The mouses mother listened carefully to her sons story and
then she said, The animal which kept smiling at you was not being friendly.
It was a cat and it eats mice. The dirty and noisy animal is a rooster. A
rooster will not harm you, son.
