Materials Needed:
Red and White Counters
Dry Erase Markers/Boards
A bingo board that I prepared

State/System Standard

Goals:
TSW learn how to add different types of numbers.
TSW use the bingo boards to compete and check their answers.

Objectives:
TSW understand how to add up different numbers.
TSW be able to identify the different numbers that are on the bingo board.
TSW learn how to compete with one another to see who gets bingo.

Instructional Procedure:
1. Teach the children how to add different types of numbers.
2. Pass out the bingo boards, counters, dry erase boards, and markers.
3. Have different problems on a sheet to read aloud to the students.
4. Read them aloud for the students to solve the problems on their dry erase boards.
5. Continue doing problems until a student gets BINGO!
6. Have them clear their boards and do it over AGAIN!
Questions:
How do we add different types of numbers together?
What is the purpose in learning to add numbers?

Closure
Ask the students if they have a better understanding of how to add different types of
numbers.

Adaptations to Meet Individual Needs:


Have the higher level students paired with lower level ones in order to help them with
their problems and form ideas.
