The letters represent the order in which the groups will be seen in each
session. All students will get the opportunity to visit each session
throughout the day. Each presenter is asked to prepare students for
transition 2 minutes before their session ends. Students should remain
in the assigned session the entire time. At no time should students be
released to attend another session. EMS staf is asked to accompany
groups to sessions. (We are asking for assistance from those teachers
and staf members that do not have sessions.)

Straight Talk is an opportunity for EMS staff to bond with the

students. Conversations should be based off of real world
connections. The Straight Talk conversations should be
facilitated by the teacher but the students should have
opportunity to discuss topics and ask questions. Staff should
remember to remain professional throughout discussions and
to be sure that students stay on task.

Suggested Straight Talk Topics

Relationships
Peer Pressure
Self Esteem/Self-Concept
Bullying
Internet Safety/Cyberbullying/Sexting
Career and College Readiness
Making the Right Decisions

partner to share the information.
6. Students should return back to their seats after second rotation.
Instruct students to pass cards to the end of the row to be
collected by a staf member.
