Course Objective: The course teaches about the fundamentals of a web service, describes the Service
Oriented Architecture that the core web service technologies enable. It also discusses web service
security.

Learning Outcomes: -At the end of the Course students should be able to:

Understand what web services are.


Explain the major components of the Web service technology.
Know how to configure a web server and create a web service.
Design simple web service and consume it.
