ORDER
These cases are before the court on defendant Carrie Neighbors’s Request for Judicial
Clerk[’s] Oversight of Mailing and Change of Address (Case No. 07-20073, Doc. 186; Case No. 07-
20124, Doc. 287; and Case No. 08-20105, Doc. 141) and the United States[’s] Motion for an Order
Directing the Defendant to Provide an Electronic Mailing Address for Service of Pleadings (Case
No. 07-20073, Doc. 193; Case No. 07-20124, Doc. 294; and Case No. 08-20105, Doc. 148).
Defendant’s motion is denied in part as moot and denied in part on its merits. The government has
agreed to serve defendant with documents at her business address. That portion of defendant’s
motion is denied as moot. To the extent that defendant asks the Clerk of the Court to supervise
service of process in this case and monitor whether documents are sent to the correct address, the
court declines to order the Clerk to do so. Such measures are not warranted.
The government asks the court to order defendant to provide an email address to the court, to
be used for service. Fed. R. Civ. P. 5—as applied to these criminal proceedings through Fed. R.
Crim P. 49—provides for electronic service of filings where the party consents to such service in
writing. In these cases, the court suspects that certain efficiencies could be obtained by allowing

defendant to receive electronic service of filings. That said, the court will leave the decision to
defendant whether to consent to electronic service of documents. If she so consents, she should file
a consent in writing, providing her email address and stating that she wishes to receive electronic
service of filings.
Clerk[’s] Oversight of Mailing and Change of Address (Case No. 07-20073, Doc. 186; Case No. 07-
20124, Doc. 287; and Case No. 08-20105, Doc. 141) is denied, in part as moot, and in part on the
merits.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the United States[’s] Motion for an Order Directing the
Defendant to Provide an Electronic Mailing Address for Service of Pleadings (Case No. 07-20073,
Doc. 193; Case No. 07-20124, Doc. 294; and Case No. 08-20105, Doc. 148) is denied, although the
