Dear Mrs. Napier,

I am writing to express formal interest in the Autism position that will be opening in the
fall. As you know, I have been working at Canyon Springs since May of 2014 in the
Specialized Learning Disability unit. I was notified by another colleague that the Autism
position would be opening.

Since working at Canyon Springs, I have found a passion for teaching Autism. I have
worked on completing my degree at Nevada State College. My Interdisciplinary Studies
degree with emphasis in Business Administration and Educational Instruction will be
completed May 5th, 2017. May 30th 2017 I will be entering into the Alternate Route to
Licensure program with emphasis in Autism. The program will be completed July 27
which will leave me hirable for the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year. I have
worked at Canyon Springs for almost 4 years, and I hope to continue to be a part of the
Pioneer family for many more to come. I know our students and our school culture so I
believe I will be a valuable member of our team, just in a different specialty.
