May 3rd- Parents welcome to join us in class, Room 11 from 1:00 pm-
2:00 pm.

May 12th- Jump Rope For Heart Event
May 15th- Grandparents/ Special Senior Day
May 19th- Father David Visits, Scholastic Book Orders Due
May 22nd- Victoria Day- No School
May 24th- Spring Ridge Farm Trip

Focus for the Month

For the month of May, we will be focusing on word endings such as er,
ar and ing. We will also begin to look at word families. We have been
exploring addition and money and will begin to focus on subtraction.

Inquiries topics that students are interested in are insects, plants and
weather. We will be exploring these topics and any others that may
arise during the course of the month.

Trip to Spring Ridge Farm

On May 24th our class will have the opportunity to go to Spring Ridge
Farm. More information regarding the trip is to follow shortly.

Warmer Weather
With the warmer weather approaching please dress your child
appropriately. Please adhere to the schools dress code. Shorts and
skirts must not be too short. T-shirts, tank tops, cropped tops or other
tops that expose the midriff or the back, are not allowed. Thank you for
your understanding.

Jump Rope For Heart

On Friday, May 12th are students will be participating in the Jump Rope
for Heart Event. Students will be skipping and have been raising
money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Pledge forms will also be
due this day.
