The number of lens power of eyeglasses of the IIUM Kuantan students between male and female
are recorded as follows:

The figure 1 and 2 shows the frequency distribution of the lens power of eyeglasses among IIUM
Kuantan students. Consider the lens power of eyeglasses obtained from a simple random sample
of 20 male students and another simple random sample of 20 female students.

1) Number of classes 2) Class width

K=1 + 3.3 log n =Range/K
K =1 + 3.3 log 20 b) Female students:
K=5.29 a) Male students:
Class width= (750-150)/5
K=5
Class width= (500-120)/5
Class width= 5
Class width= 5

The lens power of eyeglasses

According to the above histogram, it shows us the highest numbers of male students having lens
power of eyeglasses between 119.5 and 195.5 are 8 students.

The lowest number of frequency is 1 which is the lens power of eyeglasses is around 423.4-499.5
of male students of IIUM Kuantan.

II. Female students.
