compiled to give you all relevant information you will need for your visit to the venue including the
sound and lighting information, logistical information, crowd safety, costs and contact information for
everyone in the venue. Please take the time to read over all the information contained within this
document and let us know if you have any issues.

Should you need extra facilities, equipment or staff for your show we are more than happy to
accommodate you but these extra costs are payable directly by yourselves, unless agreed to by prior
negotiation with the Events Manager.
In order for us to ensure that we can provide the best service possible it is essential that you contact us
in advance of show-day for any extra requests, as we may not be able to arrange anything on the day.

Stage access is around the outside of the building (a very short distance), and up the fire escape at the
back of the building. The route is fully lit, and a staff member from the venue will escort the band.

DEPOSIT
A 25% deposit is due for all Live hires, this is to be received at least six (6) weeks prior to the event.
Failure to do so may result in the venue canceling your hire.
A 50% deposit is due for all Club hires, as above, this is to be received at least six (6) weeks prior to the
event, and failure to do so may result in the venue canceling your hire.

CANCELATION POLICY
A cancelation to a confirmed booking made within less than six (6) weeks to show-day will be subject
to a 50% (of rental) cancelation fee. A cancelation request made within fourteen (14) days of a show-
day will be subject to a 100% (of rental) cancelation fee.
In the unlikely event that the venue is forced to cancel a confirmed booking, the venue will refund the
deposit in full and cover any costs of printing/press if said event cannot be rescheduled.

AGE RESTRICTIONS
Live hires are open to participants above and including the age of fourteen (14), please note that if this
restriction is required, management and security reserve the right to deny access or eject to any
participant that is thought to have consumed alcohol under the age of eighteen (18) and they also
reserve the right to deny access to any participant that fails to provide a genuine source of
identification. Breathalyzers will be in use at any access points into the venue.
Club hires are open to anybody above and including the age of eighteen (18), any participant that fails
to provide a genuine source of identification will be denied access to the venue.

PARKING
Unfortunately, we do not provide parking for your visit as double yellow lines and private car parks
surround us.
All vehicles can park on Chamber Street, please note this is paid until 18:30. Please contact the venue
if you require dispensation, in order for this to process we need at least two (2) working days.

DRUG POLICY
The consumption or trade of illegal drugs/substances within the venue is not permitted and is illegal,
management and security reserve the right to search and question all participants within the venue
including promoters and artists in relation to illegal drugs/substances. Management and security also
reserve the right to eject or refuse entry to any participant, including promoters and artists from the
venue if suspected that they are, or have been, in possession of any illegal drugs/substances.

SMOKING POLICY
Please note that since 2007 smoking indoors has been illegal in Scotland and the venue operates a
strictly no smoking policy. Anyone found to be smoking will be asked to extinguish their cigarette.
Should anyone be found to be smoking onstage they risk their show being stopped and the
production will incur a fine of 500.00. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

DAMAGE
While we are happy to accept that there is a certain amount of wear and tear inherent in owning a PA
and lighting system and running a venue, we are not prepared to accept damage caused to our
property by negligent or willful misuse. This includes, but is not limited to: graffiti; encouraging the
audience to get up on stage; damage to paintwork by adhesive tape; rough handling of microphone
stands. We treat everyone who comes to The Mash House with courtesy and respect, and expect to
receive the same in return. Engineers and/or management will check all equipment is in working
order before its released/returned.

ARTISTS OWN EQUIPMENT
Whilst we take all possible steps to safeguard the artists equipment, it is deemed the responsibility of
the artist and their crew to make safe all their equipment. We cannot be held liable should any part of
the artists equipment goes missing or is damaged.

NO CROWD SURFING POLICY

The venue operates a no crowd surfing policy, which we, as promoters, are in agreement with.
This is basically implemented by signage displayed prominently to the public in and around the venue.
It is reinforced by verbal instruction issued by the stewards to ticket holders as they queue outside the
venue and also upon entering the venue.

NO FLY POSTING
Fly-posting is displaying adverts and other promotional materials without permission, on buildings,
posts, poles, litter bins and elsewhere in public. We have a 'zero tolerance' policy on fly-posting. Fly-
posting is illegal (in certain circumstances) under the Highways Act 1980 and the Town and Country
Planning Act 1990. Promoters/event organizers found to be fly posting will incur a penalty, removal
charge and possible ban from the premises.
