To Whom it May Concern:

I am the Associate Pastor of Senior Teen Ministry at Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church and I have known the
applicant, Rachel Mayotte, for six years. Rachel has been a faithful participant in our youth ministry and is a
part of our small group program as well as our peer leadership team. She has participated in multiple retreats
and week-long service trips both nationally and internationally. As her youth pastor, it is with great pleasure that
I write this letter of recommendation on her behalf.

Rachel is responsible, trustworthy, and possess great strength of character. She has a kind and unselfish nature
which allows her to serve others without the need for praise or recognition. She holds herself to a high standard
of integrity and authentic servant leadership while possessing a natural way of helping her peers strive for that
standard as well. Many of our other students, especially the young women, look to her as an example of
consistent faithful and joyful living.

Specifically on our trip to Costa Rica, Rachel took an active role in standing for truth, serving without regard to
her personal preferences, and leading by example. She served others with a humility and joy that was
contagious. Rachel has an infectious kindness and deep-seated joy which draws others to herself. I have seen her
lead others with grace and respect, always caring for the needs of others above her own.

I highly recommend Rachel Mayotte and am confident in her ability to serve her community and lead her peers.
I firmly believe this young woman will intentionally impact communities for good. She will be a giver to the
poor, helper to the needy, friend to the broken-hearted, and one who stands up against injustice. I consider it an
honor to take part in her life and am immensely proud of the young woman of character that Rachel already is
and continues to become. If you have further questions pertaining to her character, work ethic, or abilities,
please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Heather Castle, Associate Pastor

Senior Teen Ministry
