Area OR Learning Centers Resources found there & Function / Used for
Writing Center
There are pencils, crayons, felt tipped pens, paper,
whiteboards, tracing cards, letter stencils

Used for tracing, copying, writing letters, words,


sentences

Science Center
Sand, stone, plants, animals, building tools, posters,
leaves, pencils and scissors

Used to identify more children on the environment.

Arts Center
There are paints, paint pots and palettes, brushes,
crayons, assorted pens, various types of paper, collage
materials, glue, scissors.

Used for art and craft activities.


Math Center
Numbers, shapes, dice, mathematical games,
markers, small boards.

Used to develop students' mathematical skills.


How and where are materials stored in the classroom?
There is a large wardrobe for keeping the material in it and at the
front of the class.

Do the children/learners need to be able to get and put materials


away?
Yes, they need to because it will be easier for the teacher. Also, the
children will be responsible for taking and returning the materials
to their place.

Where does the teacher have her table/papers/materials? Is this a


good place to keep them? Why/Why not?
The teacher table is in front of the blackboard and the teacher has a
medium size box for her materials. I think it's the best place to put her
materials in because she teaches 2 class and she need her staffs all
times, so it will be easier for her to put it in box and take it everywhere.

Are there areas that encourage independent learning? Give some


examples. Why are these areas important?

Yes, center areas are encouraging independent learning. For example,


writing center, math center, arts center and science center. Its
important because it allows students to play and learn with themselves,
so they will learn the conclusion and self-reliance
