Course Description

This MSN Nursing Informatics research seminar requires the student to synthesize the knowledge and
skills they have acquired throughout the MSN degree program. The student will explore plans for
evaluating, contracting and implementing a new technology in a healthcare organization. The
culmination of this course will result in a Capstone. Capstone projects are designed to encourage you to
think critically, solve challenging problems, and develop skills such as oral and written communication,
research, planning large projects, and goal setting to achieve the outcome in a timely manner. The
capstone project will provide you an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of both a specific topic and
the relation of this topic to the broader scope of your chosen area of nursing.
