Dear Mr. Roberts,

I am applying for the position of a sales representative for Nike. I believe that a position in sales would
allow me to present my full potential as a person.

I am currently attending Merced High School in Merced, CA. I have been involved in sports such as
football and basketball. I was a two year starting varsity quarterback while being a captain. I
understand how to lead a group of people successfully to achieve a common goal. I also started a
community service project called Bears Give Back where I enlisted members of the football team to
help give back to the community of Merced. I have organized and led over 100 community service
events such as feeding the homeless, making blankets for the homeless, and making over 1,000 Easter
eggs for an Easter egg hunt for the Boys and Girls Club.

I believe that I can be a huge asset to Nike as a sales representative because of my caring and ableness
to have a conversation with a variety of people. Thank you for the consideration of this job to the great
