Abstract

Elisna Susanti, Early Childhood Studies wedding in the village of Amer Linggang Linggang
Bigung District of Kutai Barat, under the guidance of M.Habibi, Sos. M.Kesos as a mentor I and
Drs Sumadi A, M.Si as supervisor II.

In Kutai Barat in 2015 the incidence of early marriage reached 532 couples, in District Linggang
Bigung reached the highest rate of all districts as many as 61 couples and in the village of Amer
Linggang reach 10 couples.

The purpose of research to describe early marriage in the village of Amer Linggang District of
Linggang Bigung West Kutai.

This study used a qualitative method with purposive sampling approach and interview
techniques to 5 actors early marriage, one parent, one person and one community leader in the
village health workers Linggang Amer.

The results of this study, most teens who had early marriage because the incidence of pregnant
outside of marriage is due to factors promiscuity and free sex experienced by adolescents when
they were dating.

Therefore expected to health workers, parents and community leaders, for health workers in
order to provide education about early marriage to the youth in particular to the perpetrators of
early marriage, for parents and community leaders should make a rule or an age limit for youth
in performing weddings by customary law in order to reduce teens who had early marriage in
customary law.
