To whom it may concern,

I have had the pleasure of working with Annel Flores for the past four years while she has been
in the music program at Merced High School. Annel is looked up to by her peers as a perfect
example for others to follow.

Annel is the kind of person who quietly excels at everything she does. She has a wonderful
rapport with her section and everyone else she develops a relationship with. She is eager to
enrich her education seeking out additional ensembles to perform with such as our Jazz
Ensemble, and in past years our winter percussion.

In addition to the music program, Ms. Flores is highly motivated to excel in education. Even
though she has a busy schedule she has maintained an above 3.0 grade point average throughout
her high school tenure earning her the 3.0 Academic Award her first three years of high school.
She has also been a member of the California Scholarship Federation since becoming eligible her
freshman year.

Annel has designed the decal for the Merced Marching 100 for three years.

Annels attendance has been stellar throughout high school. She never misses any classes and is
always on time. She is a pleasure to be around and has a wonderful rapport with other students.
Annel will be successful at whatever she chooses to do and is an excellent role model as a
student and person. Annel has my highest recommendation for this college that will enable her to
continue on the artistic path that she has successfully started.
