2909 AIS RECEIVED

Alarm definition:

The Exchange Terminal(ET) has lost signal of Frame Synch and receives AIS Signal.

Possible Associated Alarms:


7704 PCM FAILURE
7706 BTS O&M LINK FAILURE
7767 BCCH MISSING

Troubleshooting:

1. Check if the site is accepted on ???????.


2. Check if there is any open case or planned works on site ??????????.
3. Open MML and check the site status using the command ZEEI:BCF=XXX;.
4. Check if there is any active alarm on BCF with the command ZEOL: XXX;
a. Also check the hierarchy of alarms.
5. Check the alarm history with the command ZEOH:DATE(YYYY-MM-DD),HOUR(HH-
MM-SS):BCF=XXX; to check if the alarm is intermittent.
6. Check the Alarms of the PCM/ET with MML command ZAHO:ET,ZZZ;

Resolution:

Follow the procedure of PCM FAILURE alarm:

Change the Working state of the ET(Exchange Terminal) to Blocked(BL) with MML Command
ZUSC:ET:BL; and back to Working(WO-EX).

If the alarm persists:

Check Transmission Type with CRAMER


o If Microwave is from BEP1, then apply loops onsite or pseudowire reset
(Netviewer 10.1)
o If Microwave is from BEP2, then apply loops onsite or pseudowire reset
(Netviewer 10.2)
o If Leased Line(3rd Party Companies) , apply loops on the Lambda Units

If the remote fix fails, then send field engineer onsite to investigate.
