Senior Digital Exploration Judges

10800 Highway 707
Murrells Inlet, SC 29577

Dear Judges:

My four years of high school has been very influential. However, I am very anxious
to graduate. It honestly feels like I have been waiting to graduate forever. The four
years have been filled with great memories and fun times, I played football my first
three years of high school, and got a great education the whole way through it all.

Playing sports is what inspired me to choose my topic for this project. Football had
such an impact on my life, I have played ever since i was 8 years old and I plan to
continue to play throughout my college years as well. Even with complications that
arose my senior year which caused me not to be able to play I still have high hopes
and aspirations to play. Being an athlete not only taught me respect and
responsibility but it taught me to be a leader and not a follower. From my research I
learned that even with a scholarship college is not free and that colleges bring in
huge amounts of money due to athletics. I plan to use the information that i learned
to benefit me once I get into college.

The senior exploration process has been more than stressful, I slacked off in the
beginning and it came back to bite me towards the end. It made the last part of my
senior year a lot more complicated than i planned for but I did have fun learning
more information about something I care so much for. Plus participating in the
service hours had a huge impact on some of my ideals towards sports and training.
Overall i would describe it informative and exciting with a few bumps but nothing i
couldn't handle.

I would like to thank all of you for your participation in the senior exploration and for
taking time out of your day to listen to my experience and for helping me graduate.

Sincerely,
Dylan Hazelwood
