Title of the Project:
Improvement of BER Performance using MMSE in OFDM system ABSTRACT
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is an appealing technique for
achieving high-bit-rate data transmission, due to its robustness against the multipath fading and Inter symbol Interference (ISI). OFDM is used in Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB),Digital television DVB-T& DVB-H (handheld), DMB-T/H, DVB-C2 (cable),Wireless LAN, Wi-Max & LI-FI. OFDM is used in LTE 4G Technology. Several methods have been proposed to increase the BER Performance such as SLM, P- SLM,C-SLM & B-SLM schemes. In this project Least Square & Minimum Mean Square Error channel estimation are proposed to increase the BER Performance. Least square increases the performance but its prone to Gaussian noise and inter -carrier interference. To overcome the above problem & to minimize the expected mean square error between the actual and estimated channel, Minimum Mean Square Error channel estimation is proposed. In this project the BER Performance of various schemes like M-PSK , M-QAM using LS & MMSE Channel estimation will be compared.
Tools Required: Matlab 7.0,
