4th MASA Overview
Thank you for expressing your interest towards being a MASA volunteer!
Just a brief introduction on the Malaysia Summit of Australia or MASA in short, it will be held on
the 21st of July 2016 until 25th of July 2016.
1. Just to get you started.
Malaysian Summit of Australia, simply put as MASA is more than an event run by students.
Conceived by the Malaysian Students Council of Australia (MASCA), MASA is an unprecedented
idea based on a vision to gather people of diverse interest students and non-students alike at
one place. Just like our country Malaysia, MASA is unity in diversity.
MASA will be the largest Malaysian event in Australia. 4th MASA is proposed to be a national
summit bringing 5 different components together over the course of 4 days towards the end of
winter break in Sydney, Australia. The 5 components are Careers, Conference, Excellence Awards,
Student Leaders Agenda and Games. This will also mark the second time for Sydney to be the host
of MASA.
Through MASA, participants can now not only partake in their preferred event but also get
involved in the other 5 events. One can attend a national conference and engage Malaysias
leaders and the next day speak to top corporate leaders. Or imagine being a part of student
leaders gathering and next participating in one of your favorite sports. To top it all, there will be an
award ceremony to recognize ones efforts in Australia.
Previously known as the National Games and Conference (NCG), it has been rebranded as MASA in
line with its expansion and revamp. MASA strives to unite the best and brightest minds of various
backgrounds by bringing 5 components of different nature into one platform. MASA is here
excellence crosses paths.
2. Volunteers Briefing!
Meeting one another before the event is important to ensure we have everything in-check for the
big day! That's why we'll be having a volunteers briefing 1 week prior to MASA. We'll also be
running through the event plan! Details on the briefing are as follows:
