How to use this booklet:

Intercessory prayers are outlined in this booklet to help guide you

as you intercede for the Singles Encounter Candidates.

Songs will be sung at certain parts of the vigil.

There are other prayers you can pray during your vigil hour, as
outlined in the latter part of this booklet.

Make sure you have already prayed the Prayer to Take Authority
and remember to pray the Cleansing Prayer after Your Vigil Slot.

Before you begin, remember to position yourself comfortably

before the Lord, be still and feel His Presence.

Prayer to take Authority

In the Name of Jesus, I take authority and I bind all the powers and forces in the air, in
the ground, in the water, in the underground, in the netherworld, in nature, and in fire.
You are the Lord over the entire universe and I give You the glory for Your creation. In
Your Name, I bind all demonic forces that have come against our families, and us and I
seal all of us in the protection of Your Precious Blood that was shed for us on the cross.

Mary, our Mother, we seek Your protection and intercession with the Sacred Heart of
Jesus for us and our families. Surround us with Your mantle of love to discourage the
enemy. St.Michael and our guardian angels, come defend us and our families in battle
against all the evil ones that roam the earth.

In the Name of Jesus, I bind and command all the powers and forces of evil to depart
right now, away from us, our home, and our lands. And we thank You, Lord Jesus, for
You are a faithful and compassionate God. Amen.

Let us rest our minds and quiet our hearts are we recognize the presence of the Lord in

leave behind whatever duty or work we may have to do. Let us simply cherish this
wonderful time with our God and Father.

Abba Father, we, Your children kneel in the spirit of unity with this community of believers
You have lovingly gathered. We claim Your promise, that when two or three are gathered
in Your Name, You will be in their midst. Almighty God, we declare that we are nothing
and You are all and believe Your presence amongst us. Come and let Your divine will
reign as we pray to You. Look down with mercy and kindness upon us who are gathered
to implore Your blessings.

Leader:

Father God, in Jesus name, we ask for the special anointing of the Holy Spirit upon each
one of us. We ask for the Spirit of Truth, the Consoler and the Advocate. The Source of
Strength who comes to us in Baptismwith faith, hope and love. Come Holy Spirit and
baptize us with the fire of Your love. We need the fire of Your Spirit that gives life to us;
breathe on us and impart to us the fullness of Your Spirit

We believe that as we yield and ask, You will release Your strength, wisdom, healing,

Contrition

All:

Holy Spirit, we welcome Your presence in our midst. As we come before You today with
a humble and contrite heart, we ask for forgiveness for all the times we have offended
You knowingly and unknowingly. We come before You and ask for the grace of a deeply
repentant heart. Forgive us for all our sins and failings. For all the times we have gone
astray. Forgive us for our doubts and fears, for lack of faith in truly believing in Your love
for us.

Leader:

(Let us pause for a few minutes and allow the Lord to go deep into our hearts, to reveal
to us our sins of pride, lust, unforgiveness, and resentfulnessin thoughts, words and
deeds. Be truly sorry for them. Call to mind the people who hurt You and forgive all of
them; likewise, for the people You hurt, ask forgiveness from them.)

All:

We ask forgiveness for sins against purity: lust, adultery, unclean books, movies and
videos and sexual fantasies. We turn away from all those activities and turn to You. We
repent of any compulsive and addictive behaviors like drinking, drugs, gambling, sex,
food, smoking and all other addictions. We repent of any stealing, lying and defrauding.
We regret any lack of affirming others, brushing people off, coldness, unloving and
inconsistent behavior. We are sorry for gossiping, betrayal of confidence and breaches of
faith. We repent of any envy, hatred, resentment, unforgiveness, jealousy, criticizing or
judging others, not receiving love in the way it is offered, and withholding expressions of

love.

Leader:

Jesus, sometimes we find it difficult to pray for those who have hurt or abused us.
Release within us, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, the grace to pray for them. Jesus,
help us to love and pray for those who have hurt us. We release into Your healing and
light any resentment of unforgiveness we harbor towards them. We now lift to You in
prayer, that one person who has hurt us the most in our lives and we ask Your blessings
to come into their lives today.

All:

Lord Jesus, forgive us for our indifference, for our discriminating attitude, for
manipulating other people for our own selfish advantage. Forgive us for arrogance and
pride that hinders us from committing ourselves to a deep and honest relationship with
others and with God.

Loving Father, let Your Holy Spirit wash away all out negative feelings and baseless guilt
which prevent us from enjoying the fullness of Gods love.

Hallelujah! Praise You O Lord! Glory to You God! Thank You O Loving Lord, for allowing
us to approach Your Holy throne of grace with confidence, to find favor and receive
mercy especially at this time of need. Most Compassionate Jesus, as we intercede for
our brothers and sisters today, we come before You in praise, worship and adoration. We
place ourselves now under Your cross. Cover us with Your Most Precious Blood!

All:

We stand on Gods armor to resist the devils tactics. We carry the shield of faith to put
out the burning arrows of the evil one. We accept salvation from God to be our helmet
and receive the Word of God from the Holy Spirit to use as a sword. We use our faith
believing that today all the candidates You have brought today to the Singles Encounter
will have the opportunity to know You more. O Merciful God, we ask You to look down
upon them with love and compassion.

Intercession

Leader:

Lord Jesus, as we pray for others in Your Name, we ask You to use us to reach out and
touch those we pray for, as though they were Your hands. Let Your spirit work in us
today, especially as we pray for Your people. Thank You Jesus, for Your healing love that
is flowing through us at this very moment.

All:

As intercessors, we ask for Your guidance to be able to know what Your people need, so
that we will know what to pray for. Come Divine Will and intercede in our interceding.
Your prayer warriors, we stand in the gap for Your Young people. Father in the Name of
Jesus, we openly confess that the Word of God will come forth boldly and accurately
during this Singles Encounter.

We commit this encounter to You, Father. We claim that You will take total control over
every aspect of this Singles Encounter weekend. We entrust to You all people that will
hear and the people that will speak Your Word into Your protection and care. Father, we
know Your Word will build up the people and cause them to realize that they are joint
heirs with Jesus.

We believe, Father, that as Your Word comes forth, an anointing will be upon our
presiding priest, the Working Team, the FLM Team, the speakers, the animators, the
sharers, the sponsoring class and their shepherds, the auxies, the worship team, and all
those that will be serving in whatever capacity this weekend, that they will be empowered
completely by the Holy Spirit. For the Word of God that is spoken is alive and full of
power, making it active, operative, energizing and effective, being sharper than any two-
edged sword. We believe that every need of every person will be met spiritually,
physically, mentally and financially.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, we bring this Singles Encounter No. ___ before You. We
pray and confess Your Word over them, and as we do, we use our faith, believing that
Your Word will come to pass. Therefore, we pray and confess that all the participants of
this S.E. No. ____ will let all bitterness, indignation and wrath, passion, rage, bad temper
and resentment, brawling, clamor, contention and slander, evil speaking, abusive or
blasphemous language be banished from them; also all malice, spite, ill will of any kind.
We also pray that they become loving and forgiving to one another, readily and freely as
You Father, in Christ, forgave them.

Let them imitate You and follow Your example, as well-beloved children imitate their
Father. Let them walk in love, esteeming and delighting in one another, as Christ loved

Satan, we render You helpless in Your activities in the lives of all the participants of this
encounter and we come against Your spirit of separation, confusion, violence and other

Abba Father, in the Name of Your Most Beloved Son Jesusand for the love of Him, we

mercy and loving kindness as we stand in the gap and as we lift up in our prayers the

Lord Jesus, touch and heal them this day and renew within each of them their
commitment to receive Your healing love.

Lord Jesus, strengthen and encourage them to reach out in faith. Help them to
become sensitive to the needs of each other and to reach out with compassion.

In Jesus Name, I bind the spirit of pride, Lord replace it with humility.

In Jesus, I bind the spirit of unforgiveness. Lord, replace it with Your forgiving love.
For You are a God of Mercy, slow to anger and rich in compassion.

In Jesus Name, I bind the spirit of anger, Lord replace it with Your gentleness.

Cleansing

(After the last name has been read, cleanse yourself with the blood of Jesus and lift the
burdens to the Father)

All:

Oh loving Father, as intercessors, we have taken upon the grief of Your people, but we
know that You do not want these to remain in us. We therefore bring these to Your throne
of grace, where You will dispose of them according to Your wonderful Divine Plan. Wash
us clean of all these burdens with the blood of the Lamb. Lighten our hearts and fill us
with Your peace, love and joy.

Almighty Father, we ask You to soak us with the Holy Blood of Jesus to cleanse us from
any burden and any unclean spirit that might have clung to us as intercessors. In Jesus
Name, we bind them all at the foot of the cross until You, O Lord tell them where to go.

Thanksgiving

Leader:

Father, we thank You that the participants of this encounter will be constantly renewed.
They have put on the new nature and are created in Gods image in true righteousness
and holiness. Henceforth, they will do Your will, to love one another with God and of love
united in total peace and harmony and happiness.

Lord God Almighty, thank You for the healing grace that flowed from You through Your
Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name, during our intercession. We give You the Glory, the honor
and the praise, and we know that even as we speak, You O Lord have healed those
whom we have prayed for.

Thanks be to God for we are victorious in Christ and we have conquered and triumphed

thank You and praise You for the beautiful gifts You gave us in Jesus and for the
wonderful power there is, as we open up our hearts to You in prayer. We ask that all may
praise and thank You regardless of what is happening and that Your love may flow more
abundantly through us now. We know that all things work together for good of those who
love You.

As You flow through us to minister to others, we know that You are flowing within us to
heal our lives too. Thank You for washing and cleansing our wounds and scars from the
past that still have the power to dominate our thoughts and suppress our physical and
emotional freedom. Thank You for bringing light into the shadows and warmth to any cold
dark room of our souls.

Thank You, Father, for the amazing grace of this moment with You. Thank You for the
Holy Spirit and His fruits which are working in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
gentleness and self-control. Thank You for enabling us to rise out of discouragement and
walk in joy, for lifting us when we fall. We place our trust in You.

Thank You for the blessings of life: family, parents, children, friends, relatives, friends in
the community, our jobs, and our homes. The air we breathe, the water we drink and our

CLEANSING PRAYER

Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, by the power of the
Holy Spirit, we pray that the cleansing power of the Precious Blood of Your Son come
upon us right now. Purify us and wash us clean with the Blood of Jesus from the crown
of our heads down to the very soles of our feet. Let this Blood penetrate up to the very
marrow of our bones to cleanse us from any entanglement, from whatever spirit we may
come in contact with during the course of our intercession. Anoint us with the gifts of the
Holy Spirit and refresh our body, soul and spirit. And may the sign of the Holy Cross
drive away all evil spirits from us. In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the
