Huginn x1
The Huginn X1 is designed as a total solution for reaching
otherwise inaccessible or dangerous areas.
Its small size allows the Huginn X1 to be transported as
hand luggage on aircraft or in the back of a car and as
the system is capable of vertical take-off and landing
(VTOL), there is no need for any launch mechanism or
landing pad. This combined with a deployment time
of a few minutes the Huginn X1 is the perfect tool for
reconnaissance and data collection in complex and
diverse environments.
A sonar sensor allows the Huginn X1 to perform

The vertical take-off and landing
(VTOL) capability of the Huginn X1 means that it can be launched and recovered
from difficult terrain and confined areas. It does not require any form of launch mechanism or
landing pad this means the operator has less equipment to carry and expands the range of
operational theatres where the Huginn X1 can be used.

UniQue capabilities
The live video feed improves the foundation for quick deci-
sion-making in the field, through real-time streaming of the data collected.
The dual camera enables the operator to switch between thermal and
daylight imagery during flight, thereby optimizingthe operational time. The thermal camera
enables night-time operations as well as finding people or animals hidden in the terrain.
The built-in sonar helps the Huginn X1 to detect the ground and any obstacles
below. This means that after only a few minutes training an operator has the capability to
hover as close as 40cm from the ground, increasing the usability in urban environments and
close up inspections of things such as potential IEDs.
Due to its small footprint and quiet operation, the Huginn X1
is virtually invisible at an altitude of approx. 150m and a distance of a few hundred meters.
This allows the Huginn X1 to approach points of interests without being detected.
The portability of the Huginn X1 makes it easy to carry in the field as
well as during operation and with a setup time of less than one minute, the operator can
deploy the Huginn X1 to quickly get an overview of a time critical situation, where rapid
response is of the essence.
