Artifact Description: Planning, creating, and doing a science fair experiment and then making a
PowerPoint to display the data collected.
What you learned: In this assignment I learned about which solute will dissolve best in water.
Besides the things that I learned in the experiment I did not learn anything new. I already knew
how to use PowerPoint and how to make graphs so it was fairly easy to do.
National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS)S Addressed: The
standard that was addressed would be number five which is Computational Thinker. This
standard was used because if a student does this assignment it gives them the opportunity to
come up with a problem and then solve it by collecting data all while using technology.
Application of Skills Learned for the Future: This assignment would be great for many
science grade levels. It would just have to be a science project that is fine for whatever grade
level the students are on by making sure it is not too easy or too hard.
