QB Gustufson hoping
to land a job in the NFL
Former University
of Montana quarterback
Brady Gustafson might
be getting a shot with the
Chicago Bears.
Although the
invitation is not yet
official, the Bears will
hold their three-day
rookie camp beginning
May 11th, the second
weekend that NFL teams
are allowed to bring in
rookies for team activities.
Gustafson, the Grizzlies two-year starting
quarterback out of Billings West, ranked near the
top of the FCS in several passing categories in 2016,
ending the year with 309.4 passing yards per game,
the sixth most in the nation. He finished with 2,785
total passing yards and 25 touchdowns despite missing
two of the Montanas final three games of the season.
He did that on 260 completions in 396 attempts, good
for a 65.7 completion percentage, against just eight
interceptions to earn an honorable mention All-Big
Sky nod.
Despite injuries that kept him out of six games in
2015, he had 1,984 yards and 12 TDs as a junior.
His 4,809 career passing yards rank 11th all-time
in Griz history and his 37 TD passes are 13th best. He
set the school record with 47 completions against Cal
Poly this past season, a total that also tied the Big Skys
single-game record.

(Vikings), JR Nelson (Chiefs) and Yamen Sanders
(Raiders) will all be in camps this coming weekend.

Dinosaurs a Big Draw for Visitors to Montana
Dinosaurs may be Montanas oldest
tourist attraction, but theyre more
popular than ever. Families across the
country are building their vacations
around dinosaur-themed attractions,
and museums in communities across
the state are welcoming them in record
numbers.
The Montana Dinosaur Trail
reported hosting a combined total of
333,151 visitors in 2016, an increase of
15 percent compared to 2015. More than
one third of the visitors were from out of
state.
People have been fascinated with
dinosaurs for generations, said Trail
Coordinator Victor Bjornberg. Montana
is fortunate to be one of few places where
important dinosaur discoveries have
been and are being made. The Montana
Dinosaur Trail offers visitors a unique
look and, in some cases, hands-on
experiences in the world of dinosaurs
and the science of paleontology. Thats
special. You cant find that opportunity
in many other places of the world.
Montana dinosaurs are popular
internationally too especially in Japan,
where the Montana Department of
Commerce highlights dinosaur-themed
attractions through its marketing.
The Museum of the Rockies is a sister
museum to Mifune Dinosaur Museum
in Kumamoto, Japan.
