April 2017

Night work on ORiordan Street, Mascot, from Tuesday 18 April

The NSW Government is preparing to upgrade roads north of Sydneys
Kingsford Smith Airport to improve traffic flow and connections to and from
the Airport and Port Botany.
Roads and Maritime Services will carry out further investigation work to confirm the location of existing
utilities. This work will include digging several small trenches (approximately two metres long by one metre
wide) to confirm the location of utilities. This work is a continuation of similar investigation work completed
in recent months.

The investigation work will be carried out on ORiordan Street, between Qantas Drive and Bourke Road.
The information gathered from this investigation will continue to help us develop the detailed design for the
Airport North project.

We will carry out a maximum of 17 night shifts between Tuesday 18 April and Sunday 14 May 2017
excluding Friday and Saturday evenings and public holidays, weather permitting. Our working hours
will be from 7pm to 6am.

How will the work affect you?

There may be some noise associated with this work at times, but we will do everything we can to minimise
its impact including working at different locations along the road.

Traffic changes

There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe. Lane closures will be in
place and may affect travel times. Please keep to speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers
and signs.

For the latest traffic updates, you can call 132 701, visit livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic NSW
App.
