Overview of the lesson:

You are very calm and confident with the children- try to use more enthusiasm in your
voice at times.
Using a song for phonics but stopped it before it finished.
Building anticipation with what do you think is inside the box getting language from the
children with predictions.
Reminded them of the rules
Well prepared with the resources on the tables. Modelled the clip activity but dont give
them the answer e,g, you have to decide which one starts with r rather than telling them
its the rainbow.
Transition from carpet to activities was organized table by table
Checking on the children when working but really engage more with reinforcing the
language.

Areas for development:

Get started on the morning routine as soon as the children come into he
classroom
If Mansour is struggling with the days of the week in English help with the sound
of the first letter (phonics awareness)
Say the sight words with the children also and put them in a sentence to reinforce
the meaning of the words
You are getting them to do puzzles but think how you can get all children
involved and active rather than one child only doing the puzzle while the rest are
watching.
Grammar- Which one we are (Which one are we?) what do you think is this?
(What do you think this is?)
Pronunciation- rabbut (it) rose use the long o sound rather than short o sound.
Rose- not another word for a flower but it is a type of flower.
Check the children are not rolling the r

Focus for next lesson:
