LCHS 2017 Trivia Section Reflection

In Student Council, we host the annual Mr. LCHS competition in the

Auditorium in late April. Both this year and the year before, we ran into an
issue of an empty space in the schedule while the judges deliberate the
winner. I took the initiative to write some difficult trivia questions based on
the choices the contestants made in the career section of the competition.
In the end, I achieved my goal, with less than half of them being able to
answer their questions correctly, and the rest having their confidence
tested with an awkward situation. Initiative is defined as stepping up to
accomplish a task. If this is the case, then my choice to step up and fill the
void in our schedule definitely qualifies as initiative. In the future, I plan to
lead more from the front, and stop waiting for others to step up, when the
opportunity and its attached risks could be mine.
