Supreme Court Street Law, Inc. and the Supreme Court Historical March 14, 2016 June 16-21 and
Summer Society will sponsor two sessions of the annual June 23-28,
Institute Supreme Court Summer Institute, June 16-21 and 2016.
June 23-28, 2016. The Institute is open to secondary
level social studies teachers and supervisors, who
will spend six stimulating days on Capitol Hill and
inside the Supreme Court learning about the Court,
its past and current cases, and how to teach about
them from top Supreme Court litigators and
educators. We will also be in the Court to hear the
Justices announce the final decisions of the term
and attend a private reception at the Court. For full

The Chinese 2-week workshop, "The Chinese Exclusion Act and March 1, 2016 July 10-22,
Exclusion Act Immigration in America. The Institute provides K-12 2016
and teachers with the opportunity to learn from leading

America and artifacts examining the impact of exclusion in
the United States. Teachers will explore new
perspectives on the history of immigration,
citizenship, and what it means to be American

Pacific Historic World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument


Parks National (VALR) has been hosting a summer teachers

from Pacific Historic Parks and a partnership with
the Hawaii Department of Education offering

Midway The USS Midway Museum's Midway Institute for June 27-July 8
Institute for Teachers will offer two weeks of professional

National WWII The National WWII Museum has announced an Feb. 15 July 2016 - July
Museum opportunity for high school history and social 2017
studies teachers to participate in an all-expenses
paid 16 month professional development
experience. A cohort of 28 teachers from across the
country will spend a week at the National WWII
Museum in New Orleans in July 2016 and a week at
Pearl Harbor in July 2017. There is no cost.
Selected teachers will receive room and board in
New Orleans, a travel stipend and all seminar
