As the LM Coordinator at my school, I have administered WIDA APT 9 times and have
been the test coordinator for WIDA Access. Throughout this process, I have learned to use the
The attached artifact shows that I have completed the WIDA training necessary to
administer WIDA APT and WIDA Access. In this training, I have learned not only how to
administer the test, but also how to use the data to aid students language development. I also
find WIDA Can-Do Indicators to be a valuable tool for content teachers once I have written
student ILPs. I pass these on to teachers so they can use them in planning goals for LM
Having scores for students in each language domain is also very informative when I
complete progress monitoring for ILP goals. For instance, if I know that a student struggles with
listening and are not passing a class, I can collaborate with classroom teachers to assure that
they are providing the student with visuals and graphic organizers to make the content
comprehensible.
