Project Proposal

Description This project is about Singapore and Malaysia including details and backgrounds
of both
countries and
relationship
between
them. The
project itself
consist of
timeline
including the
significant
events from the
beginning
since
Singapore
was still
Malaya,
British
colony, joined and separated from Malaysia until now. Our project will also include the
important leader of Singapore and Malaysia. The main focus of this project will be about
causes, conduct and consequences of the separation between Malaysia and Singapore.
Purpose
This project is to understand the relationship between Singapore and Malaysia especially
focusing on the roles of leaders, the conflicts between these two countries i.e. why they got
separated and how they influence each others in the modern world.
Research Questions
o How they got separated and why?
o How do people lives change in terms of culture, education, politics, and trade after
the separation.
o What make Singapore become MDC (more developed country) while Malaysia is still
LDC (less developed country)
o What would modern Singapore and Malaysia be like if Singapore today were still part
of Malaysia today
