GAONG RIVER

We went to this amazing and isolated River called Gaong which can
be found in Tampayan Magdiwang Romblon. From Cajidiocan we took a
tricycle and made an hour drive to Tampayan. Once there, we waited for
another half an hour for our other companion to arrive, while waiting, we
talked about whether we should go to Aglinggi or Gaong, majority decided
to choose the latter. According to our companion who is very familiar with
the place said that 20-30 minutes of walk is necessary to reach the river.
But that day, we are all up for a challenge, so off we go.

As we walked along our way, I noticed the surroundings in the area,

its like a small dessert, with a rocky terrain. The searing heat of the sun
can be felt (a jacket and glasses would help you to lessen the skin burn).
We enjoyed our walk, we sometimes joke like saying, are we there yet?,
repeatedly and always answered, no, not yet.

After about an hour, a small river can be seen in the distance, as we

get closer, it became larger and wider body of water, and according to one
our campionn we already arrived in Gaong, and I was just so happy.

A feeling of excitement flew over me, I was full of joy when I saw the
cyrstal-clear water in which you can almost see the bottom. I have the
intense urge to jump but stopped myself for I need to rest after a long
exhausting walk. As I rested, I cant believe my eyes for the beauty of what
Im seeing, and I wish that it will be like this forever. A feeling of pride
washed over me because here I am in the most dazzling, secluded place in
the world and I am one of the lucky person to see it this way.
 After our lunch, I decided to try for a swim, it gave me chills, but after
a while my body kinda liked it. The water is cold, and will surely touch your
soul, its very refreshing. I swam back and forth, up and down, horizontally,
and vertically until my body felt the need to rest. I simmered and relished
the moment, and the feeling is heavenly relaxing.

beauty that It possessed, Gaong River is now in my list for my favorite river
