Excel Gauss-Jordan Method.

Step 1 Set up the Matrix in a Spread sheet.

Step 2 Copy Paste the matrix row you want to hold steady as it is to the rows below.
Then write the row operation to be performed as a reference

YOU ARE WORKING TO TRANSFORM THE FIRST COLUMN SO THAT ALL ELEMENTS
EXCEPT THE ELEMENTS IN THE FIRST ROW ARE ZERO.
Write the formula as an Excel formula in the row, and first column
=6*D2-5*D3
=6*D2-5*D4

Select the two cells that you created the formula in, and place your cursor over the little box

in the lower right-hand corner.(The cursor will turn into a + sign.)


Drag across the row, to copy.
