Experience
Teaching Practicum at Lewisville Middle School March 2017-May 2017

n At Lewisville Middle School I taught students in grade six and eight. During this time I was tasked with the
entire teaching responsibilities while teaching English language arts, social studies and art. Along with this, I
was tasked with helping students with exceptionalities and come up with plans to ensure that they were
successful.

Teaching Practicum at Bernice McNaughton High School November 2016-December 2016

n During my teaching practicum I had the opportunity to create lessons for and teach grade nine social studies,
grade ten history and grade twelve law. With this teaching responsibility I also created and graded
assessments for said classes. Along with this I assisted with the any extracurricular activities for students
including assemblies, dances, charity events and grad events. Finally, I participated in staff events like
personal development days, faculty and full staff meetings.

Teacher at Poly English Education Institute October 2014-August 2016

n Being a teacher at Poly, my main responsibility was teaching and mentoring young students who were
learning basic English. My duties also involved monitoring and grading monthly and level tests. I taught
students aged five to fourteen in a variety of subjects. Along with this I was looked upon to attend workshops
and open houses, as well as plan special events for the students.

J.D Irving Tree Planter April 2013-August 2014

n As a tree planter I would wake up early in the morning and drive to the work area. Once there I would plant
trees in sometimes-harsh conditions while maintaining good quality and density until my crew went home
usually around midafternoon. At the end of the day we would stack the trays we had planted and left the
work area to return to Fredericton. .

UNB Residence Hall Proctor September 2012-April 2014

n My role as a proctor is one of support to the residents of Neville Jones House. My duties included taking care
of any problems while I was on duty, doing up active and passive programs within the house, mentoring
students who are having problems and being the best possible role model to those students.
