Hello! My name is Mellany Han and I am going to be student
teaching in Mrs. Heiduks 3rd grade classroom until the end of April. I am currently earning my teaching credential at Westmont College and have been at the edge of my seat to be in an elementary classroom full-time. I am especially excited to get to know your kids as this classroom is brimming with character and enthusiasm.
I graduated from Boston University with a degree in English and
taught abroad for 2 years in South Korea, my native country. I have a passion for working with youth and enjoy the unique characteristics and strengths that come with each individual. I am involved in 826LAs non- profit dedicated to helping students develop writing skills. Last year, I ran the LA marathon in support of accessible maternity healthcare with Every Mother Counts. I love to write, I love to draw, and I love to stay active.
I will strive to use my passions to support
and connect with the students in the classroom. I am truly grateful to take part in your childs education and hope to make lasting contributions for a lifelong journey of growth. I will do my best to work with Mrs. Heiduk and support the learning and the fun in the classroom. Thank you for this opportunity and I look forward to meeting you soon.
