Dear Parents/Guardians,

My name is Kristi Dunn and I am going to be your son/daughters teacher for the remainder

of this school year. I am eager to get to know your child better and to work with them every day!

Teaching has always been and passion of mine; I have wanted to become a teacher ever since I can

remember. I am very grateful for this opportunity to work at Forest Hills Northern High School, and

I look forward to helping your child grow in their academic and functional pursuits! Since your child

will be learning a lot about me throughout the rest of the school year, I would like you to know a

little bit more about me as well.

At the end of this school year, I will have graduated from Calvin College with a major in

Special Education. Throughout my time in college, I have been a Young Life leader, and I have been

a nanny for two boys for the past four years. This fall, I was able to fulfill my general education

requirements by student teaching in a second-grade classroom where I had 23 students. Three of

those students received special education services, therefore I have been able to see the impacts of

special education in various settings.

I have lived in Hudsonville, Michigan for my whole life. I have six members in my family

including my dad, mom, older sister, brother-in-law, and younger brother. We are a close knit family,

and we enjoy going to our cottage on Big Star Lake in the summer.

Thank you for the opportunity to work with your son/daughter this school year. I am excited

and ready to continue my teaching career at Forest Hills Northern, and I cant wait to see how we

grow as a class throughout the remainder of the school year!

Sincerely,

Kristi Dunn
