2) When subjected to excessive axial compressive load, columns fail for a variety of
reasons. List types of columns and its failure.
3) List four types of column with end conditions and its effective length.
4) The formula used to predict the critical load is the Eulers equation. Prove that the Eulers
equation relate to pin-pin end condition.
