Sheriff Lavender reports that in the early morning hours of 05/11/2017 his deputies took
5 reports of stolen vehicles in the Northeastern part of Ross County. The crimes took
place between Kingston and Adelphi.

There are currently 2 people in custody in connection to these crimes. The investigation
into this matter is ongoing, and has been turned over to the Detectives Division.

The investigation has discovered that all of these vehicles were left unlocked and the keys
in them. Sheriff Lavender urges the community to lock their vehicles, not to leave any
valuables in them, and never leave the keys with the vehicle.
