This is a rare machine, a compact 250mm(10) blade sliding Model JTS-600
table panel saw for the smaller workshop. Very compact in Rating Trade
size but still robustly built of welded steel and cast iron, this Power Input 2.6kW 230V, 1ph
machine is able to handle most jobs a small workshop or keen Blade Dia/Bore 250mm/30mm
home user will demand. With a 1,000 x 255mm sliding table Blade Speed 4,000rpm
complete with outrigger table this will handle most sizes Blade Tilt 0 - 45

Jet Air Filtration Systems
Dont forget when all the woodworking processes have been completed for the
day, its very tempting to think that the dust generating processes have been
finished. This is not the case as a ray of sunlight passing across the workshop will
highlight an alarming amount of airborne dust which may be as much as when
the machinery was in use.
To combat this airborne dust, ambient workshop air filters like the Jet AFS-500
can be left running quietly in the background, filtering out these very fine dust
particles. Suitable for ceiling or wall mounting, or even just stand alone, ambient
air filters will greatly improve the workshop environment. In order to decide
on the correct size of filter, calculate the volume of the workshop and look to
circulate the air approximately six times per hour. For the best results, leave the
air filter to run for an hour after the machinery has been switched off or use the
timer function to run the filter after all practical work has been completed in the
workshop at the end of the day. Dont forget to vacuum the filters at least once
a week.

This bandsaw has been designed for a workshop that requires a wood cutting bandsaw with the capability of occasional metal
cutting, and vice versa. The VBS18MW is capable of cutting timber, ferrous and non-ferrous metals (using the correct blade). A two
speed gearbox lets you choose the ideal cutting speeds for wood or metal, the three belts speeds run at 250, 450 or 820m/min or
20, 40 or 70m/min. Adjustment for the most suitable speed for efficient cutting is straight forward. The bandsaw is supplied with
two chip trays for the separate collection of metal cutting swarf. A large hand wheel and rack system allows simple adjustment
of the cutting height and there is an easy to read built-in cutting height scale. The blade is well supported above and below the
table by ball bearing guides. A viewing window is provided for easy blade tracking control, the blade runs on balanced cast iron

For producing timber to an accurate size and with a great finish, this machine is difficult to beat.
Its hard to think that you can put a piece of wood 12 x 6 in old money through such a small
machine, but yes, its quite possible for the occasional job. Its high speed cutter block is fitted

very high standard of finish can be achieved, even in difficult timbers. A simple handle controls

suited for use in the smaller workshop where space may
be at a premium. The unit can be bench mounted or floor
standing using the optional floor stand as shown. The drum is
