A special thank you to all my parents for a fantastic year! Thank


you for supporting me throughout the year and helping your
student take on more academic responsibility. Praying that you all
have an adventurous summer break. (Reading and reviewing math
facts is encouraged, but I will not be tracking you over the
summer)

Math: We will be reviewing averaging, reducing fractions, and learning two-


two digit multiplication. Our final math test will be Tuesday.

Reading: Our new story this week is The Gardener. We currently have
our final reading test scheduled for Friday. The following words accompany
this story:
1. correspond- to exchange letters with someone
2. efficiently- doing something in the best, most practical way
3. employed- hired to do a job
4. gravely- seriously
5. nurture- support and encourage
6. sprouting- beginning to grow
7. survived- lived through; lasted through something difficult
8. vessel- a cup, bowl, or pitcher used to hold liquids

Language: We will be sharing book reports in class this week and


having a test on Tuesday over Chapter 12. Review pages will be
sent home Monday.

History: Our last person to study this year will be Clara Barton. We will
have a quiz over her on Thursday and our final USA Map test on Friday.
