Twilight Zone Episode

Int: House in the middle of the woods. The four people think
that they are alone, but they are not. With a graveyard near by,
the four people decide to go and explore the graveyard.

The four friends show up at the house at about 3 oclock. They

get out of the car and look up at the mansion that stood before
them. Jeff stepped forward, and the rest followed. They were met
by the butler, who greeted them and helped them bring their bags
inside.

Butler
Greetings, guests. My name is Geoffrey. I am Mr. Owens butler,
and I will be serving you during your stay here.

Jeff
Hi. I am Jeff. This is Julia, Jake, and Beth. We were invited
here by Mr. Owens to stay here for the weekend.

Butler
Very well. I have arranged lunch for all of you. You may go and
begin your meal while I bring your bags upstairs.

Jeff
Ok, guys lets go. Im starving.

Julia
Yeah, Im hungry too.

Jake
Same.

Jeff
Ok, lets go and eat then.
The four friends walk inside and eat, while Geoffrey sets up
their rooms and begins to prepare dinner. The friends eat, and
soon it is night. They eat dinner and gather around in the
dining room by the fire.

Jeff
So, where abouts is the next inhabitants?

Geoffrey
Ohh, not for miles. This land is private property. Mr. Owens
bought about 6 miles worth of land. His plan was to build a
wealthy village, but he uhhad to uh.Stop.

Jake
Stop? Why did they stop.

Geoffrey
That is uh.That is disclosed information.

Julia
Disclosed information? Can you tell us anything about it?
Geoffrey
I am not allowed to.

Jake
Cmon dude. Just tell us, we wont tell anyone else.

Beth
Yeah, we wont tell anyone.

Geoffrey
Ok.fine. Centuries ago, there was a native tribe that inhabited
this land. The natives lived there peacefully, until the British
arrived and attempted to take their land. The tribe turned
warlike and tried to defend the land, but they were unable to.
Legend has it that the fallen soldiers of the native tribe still
haunt this land today.

Jake
 Wow.

Jeff
Wait, so that graveyard that we passed? That was for.

Geoffrey
The fallen native soldiers. The spirits of the natives still
haunt this land, and their gods as well.

Beth
Wait, so what happened to the British settlers.

Geoffrey
They lived here for 5 years, until the spirits drove them off.
The land has been inhabited for centuries, until Mr. Owens
bought the land for absolutely nothing. This was the first house
that they built, and after a construction worker was killed
overnight, with nobody owning up to the murder, the project was
called off.

Julia
So, there are spirits living here?

Geoffrey
Probably, but they have never bothered me. I respect the
spirits, and they respect me.

Jake
Have you ever been to the graveyard that we passed?

Geoffrey
No, I have no desire.

Jeff
Why not?

Geoffrey
I feel like if I visited the graveyard, I would be violating my
respect with the spirits.
 Julia
So you believe in the legend.

Geoffrey
Of course, why wouldnt I?

The friends look at each other.

Jake
Do you think we could check it out.

Beth
No, I am not going over there.

Jeff
Yeah, lets go.

Julia
No, Jeff you are not going!

Jeff
Why not?

Julia
Because.

Jeff
Because why?

Julia
You would be uh.upsetting the spirits.

Jeff
I dont believe in that. They are just myths.

Julia
 But the butler said.

Jeff
I dont believe in ghosts. What is dead is dead. Nothing bad is
going to happen.

Julia
Ok.but I am not going.

Beth
Neither am I.

Jake
Well, I guess we are going then. Geoffrey, I expect that you are
not going to be joining us.

Geoffrey
I will refrain from joining you. I will not disrupt the sleeping
spirits.

Jeff
Ok, Jake lets go.

Jake and Jeff walk outside and into their car. They drove off
down the road. Hours went by, and Beth and Julia anxiously
waited for them to return. After about 3 hours go by, Julia
decides to go and find them.

Julia
Beth, Im scared. When do you think they are going to return?
Beth
I dont know. I knew they shouldnt have went.

Geoffrey
They will return soon.

Beth
How do you know?
 Geoffrey
The spirits are telling me.

Beth
Excuse me?

Geoffrey
The spirits speak to me. They are on their way back now.

Beth
They are?

Geoffrey
Yes.

As soon as she says this, the doorbell rings.

Julia
Oh my.

Julia runs to the door, as Beth look outside.

Beth
Wait, what happened to the car.

Julia goes to the door, and opens it.

Julia
Jeff! Jake! You are back.

As she says this, she is pulled outside and the door slams shut.

Beth
Julia!

Beth looks out the window, and sees Julia being pulled into the
woods by three undescribable figures.
 Beth
Julia! Julia!

Beth runs to the door, but Geoffrey keeps her from running
outside.

Geoffrey
Miss, the safest place is the house. Do not go outside.

Beth
No, I have to! That is my best friend.

Beth escapes Geoffreys hold and opens the door.

Beth
Julia! Im coming!

Beth bursts out of the house and out onto the street. A sound of
a horse comes into distance, and a figure on horseback comes up
besides Beth and hauls her onto the horse, while Beth kicks and
screams. The figure sets off, but stops. He turns around to face
Geoffrey, and he salutes him, as Geoffrey does the same. The
figure on horseback then sets off into the woods.

Geoffrey closes the door and sighs. He walks into the dining
room, looks around, and walks into the kitchen. He grabs a
butcher knife and a Native American necklace. As Geoffrey walks
back into the dining room and towards the door, he turns
translucent and glides through the door and into the woods.
