Modernism: Let Your World Travel Be Your Freedom

Imagine yourself traveling around the world for fun, going to Hawaii to play in the

water and relax on the beach swimming with the dolphins and the turtles in the deep blue sea,

and listening to the birds singing. This is the type of opportunity people started to have during

modernism. During modernism, the years of 1914 to 1945, people are able to travel and see new

places in the world because of their newfound freedom that is similar to the freedom we have

today.

Back in those day women could not travel around the world because they have to do

house work, watch their babies, and cook food for their family. Men thought that women cannot

do anything else but house work. At that time women wanted to vote but they cannot because

they did not have equal rights as men; because men thought that women do not have the

capacity/ability/intelligence to make good/wise decisions so that they were not in the same level

as a men. But now, women have earn the right to vote and live life the way they want.

The literature produced during Modernism reflects the changing role of women from

traditional meek daughter and wife to a person in control of her own destiny. He did not say

In 1966, the Supreme Court overruled chief justice whites conclusion that the federal

government could protect the right only against state infringement. People start traveling because

they want to learn about different cultures from around the world and to see how different

peoples lifestyle is. The second reason why people started to traveling is to party or just to have

fun and people travel with the sole purpose of enjoyment, wild partying or just because the

funniest things happen when youre traveling.

In 1914 to 1945, people traveled through trains or simply in their own car with friends.

However people began to travel long distance businessmen meeting overseas clients,

entertainers on tour, and travelers making leisure trips booked passage on ocean liners of all

sizes. They alongside vast numbers of emigrants coming to the United States and immigrants
