History:
1845 Founded by William W. Deloitte in London.

1849 Great Western Railway (GWR) approached Deloitte to audit their company.

1857 Partnership with Thomas Greenwood; Name changed to Deloitte and

1869 Partnership with John George Griffiths. Firm is known as Deloitte, Dever,
Griffiths & Co.

1880 First overseas office opens in New York; Auditing in NY begins with
Procter & Gamble

1905 Deloitte collaborates first time with Haskins & Sells.

1911 Deloitte opens office in Brazil.

1952 Deloitte merges with Haskins & Sells and becomes Deloitte Haskins &

1990 Deloitte Haskins & Sells merge with Touche Ross and becomes
