Look for deer before you steer

TEDXCCS:

In my Ted Talk I explain the

problems of Deer
Overpopulation. When we look
at the problems of deer
overpopulation, we focus on
crop damage, car collisions and
diseases spreading. Each year,
about 1 million deer die from
vehicle collisions. The price of
vehicle damage each year is
about 4 billion dollars. Not only
do people have to pay a lot of
money, but 200 fatal accidents
happen also annually because
of deer. Deer also spread Lymes
disease. In some states, such
as Connecticut, officials reduce
the population of deer and
studies show that the number of
Lymes disease has lowered.
Ways we can prevent deer overpopulation is wildlife management. Other types of wildlife management is culling, hunting, and
releasing predators. After all, if we don't pay attention to the potential dangers of deer overpopulation, our valuable resources will
be consumed by them not us.
