What is the current problems?

Because Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand, many people have moved from

other places to work or to settle down around the area. As a result of that, number of

cars and factories have been increased which are the big factors that cause the city to

have more pollution. Due to the great number of population living in Bangkok, expected

to increase more, many trees are cut down to meet the need of the citizens, such as to

add more buildings with many facilities. These problems lead to further consequences,

high concentration of CO2 in the air which can cause a greenhouse effect later.

Not enough green areas

Too many cars

Traffic Jam

High concentration of CO2 in the air

High risk of greenhouse effect

What was done in the past to improve?

In 2014, three parks were thought to be added to Bangkok in order to

increase green area in the city as the policy of the Bangkok mayor stated at that time.

Each park was supposed to take about 2 months - 12 months to construct, according to

the plan, all of the parks would be available for Bangkok citizens to use within the year

of 2015. Unfortunately, some projects are not being done productively that they havent

been available for people in Bangkok yet.

Though the government has tried to increase green area in Bangkok by

building new playfields, community parks, district parks, and city parks. The ratio of

green area to number of people living in Bangkok is still low compared to the other

countries
